Our Metal Pressed Japanese Import Plate is made for the 13 x 6 inch (330mm x 152mm) plate recess on Japanese-market cars. It's a direct replacement for your existing JDM plates and sits properly in the recess instead of overhanging it.
Each plate is pressed from aluminium with raised, embossed characters and finished with 3M reflective material, made to order in our Gloucester workshop.
Road legal on imported vehicles
UK law allows smaller characters (64mm high) on imported vehicles without European Community Whole Vehicle Type Approval, where the plate area can't take a standard UK plate. Most JDM imports qualify. Road-legal plates use the Charles Wright font and carry the British Standard mark and our supplier name and postcode.
Two lines only: to fit a 13 x 6 plate at the legal character size, your registration is set out over two lines. We can't put a registration or word on a single line across the middle.

Quality plates. They aren’t true jap size, these are 13x6, jap plates are 13x6.5 so as you can see in the video they just about fill in a jap plate surround. I can get past that, overall happy with the purchase.
Very quick service, plates look great and using some tiger tape strips from Amazon they fit very securely to the front and back of my car. Way better than plastic plates and very good quality. Very happy with my purchase, making my car standout that bit more!!!
I didn’t like the original number plate holder on my mx5 and bought a jap style holder and was recommended chase lanes for jap plates, they arrived pretty quickly and from a far they’re perfect but if you really look at them they have some slight imperfections but none that can be noticed from a quick glance. I will be sure to recommend chase lanes to more of my mates.
Good quality plates just be aware they're a decent amount shorter than the standard jap size, so don't do what I did and copy the holes of the normal plate.
