Give your classic car the authentic finish it deserves with our Classic Raised & Riveted Number Plates. Each character is an individual injection-moulded digit in silver or white, riveted by hand to an aluminium plate in the traditional black plate style. The raised digits stand proud of the plate for a genuine 3D effect that a printed plate can't match.
Hand-crafted in our Gloucester workshop and sold as a pair, they're the ideal finishing touch for restorations, concours cars and classic car shows.

Who can use black and silver plates?
Black plates with silver or white characters are for cars built before 1 January 1980. Cars built before 1 January 1973 can display them straight away. Cars built between 1973 and 1979 must also be registered in the historic vehicle tax class.
Lead time
These plates are made by hand and carry a lead time of around 2 days, depending on workload. If you need them by a certain date, for a show or MOT, let us know when you order.
What you'll need
For road legal plates, we need proof of your identity and proof that you're entitled to the registration, such as your V5C logbook.

I bought my second set of riveted plates for my period classic vehicle. The first set Reflective White and Yellow, the 2nd set white on black, very good value for money and equally as fast delivery. Very Happy
The process of ordering was straight forward and efficient. The folk at Chase Lane Plates were very helpful and the young lady to whom I spoke regarding the delivery of the plates was exceedingly accommodating and indeed instrumental in getting the plates delivered in time for a show.
The quality of the plates seems to be excellent and they look great on our 1962 Traveller.
I ordered and paid £77.00 for a pair of raised white number plates on the 17th Aug, a Royal Mail tracking number was provided but all it ever says is “we’re expecting the item”
When I emailed Chase plates to ask where my plates were I was initially told that someone would try and take it up with Royal Mail and replacement plates would be despatched…..guess what, they are now ignoring my emails and I have asked for a refund which has also been ignored so I shall have to get a chargeback through my bank or go through the small claims court to get my money back.
I usually use Tippers Vintage Plates when buying replacement classic number plates, I wish I had stuck with them as they had never let me down

These plates are not riveted as per description. I called to confirm if they were riveted or if they were starlock washers. She said riveted, so I bought a pair but turns out they are not riveted, they are starlock washers.
